  The Emperor’s New Clothes at Theatre West's award-winning Storybook Theatre invites children to a hilarious, musical adventure where singing, dancing, kazoos, and a whole lot of audience participation bring this classic fairy tale to life! The Emperor is obsessed with fashion, and two very sneaky swindlers know exactly how to take advantage of it. They convince the Emperor that they can make him the most magnificent clothes ever created. Clothes so magical that only the cleverest people can see them! But there’s one little problem: the clothes don’t actually exist! As the Emperor struts around showing off his fabulous new “outfit,” the kids get in on the fun, even staging their own fashion show with themselves as models. But then comes the moment everyone has been waiting for. The Emperor marches out proudly in nothing but his silly long johns, and the kids get to shout the truth at the top of their lungs: “YOU’RE NOT WEARING ANY CLOTHES!” The truth is finally out! The two sneaky tricksters are caught.
